The Morton Grove Farmers’ Market has been moving along nicely, collecting donations from businesses and offers of support from village officials and residents. As mentioned earlier, Kappy’s Restaurant is offering the market 10 percent of each bill where the patron mentions the market to the waitress or waiter on Wednesdays in March. The Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry is helping with logistics, promotions and offering contacts.

Three vendors have signed on already: Lifeway Foods and Maier’s Bakery from Morton Grove and Twin Garden Farms from Harvard, IL. The website includes a registration form for raffles. Each week, a basket of goodies will be given to the winner, picked at random. Entrants can sign up via the web or drop off the raffle ticket at the market.
