Lamb Lovers Make Your Mado Reservations – Next Family Dinner

Mado has announced their next Sunday dinner, and if you are a lamb lover especially, it’s a doozy.  Of course if you are a local food lover; I mean if you are a food lover period, it’s a doozy.  Chefs Rob and Allie Levitt are cooking the dinner with Chef Andrew Zimmerman.  No not the balding, well dressed Minnesotan by way of New York.   Actually, notice the spelling, the bizzare foods guy is Zimmern (but my daughter points out he’d be right at home at Mado regardless).  Anyways, this is Andrew Zimmerman of Sepia.  Here’s the menu Zimmerman and the Levitts are cooking for their dinner on June 21, 6 PM:

lamb summer sausage
lamb brain terrine
lamb liver paté

lamb neck pastilla
lamb loin carpaccio
pickled lamb’s tongue
with potatoes and spring onions

wood-grilled lamb heart
with watercress and pickled ramp vinaigrette

mixed roast:
lamb shoulder baked in hay with herbs de la garrigue
spit-roasted leg

market sides

sheep’s milk ricotta with strawberries

$65 per person, byob, not inclusive of tax and gratuity.  Call Mado at 773.342.2340 for reservations.

    It’s also worth noting that Rob Levitt worked for Andrew Zimmerman when the latter was chef at Del Toro.
