Win two tickets to Growing Home’s 7th Annual Benefit Dinner
|Growing Home’s mission is “to operate, promote, and demonstrate the use of organic agriculture as a vehicle for job training, employment, and community development.” You may have seen Growing Home selling organic produce at farmers markets around the area, but you might not have known that 100% of the proceeds of those sales go towards their programs to provide job training for homeless and low-income individuals in Chicago through their agriculture-based business program.
Their 7th annual dinner takes place Thursday, June 11th at 6:00pm at the Chicago Cultural Center and will feature courses from our own “Sustainable Cook” Melissa Graham of Monnogramme Events, Chef Michael Altenberg of Bistro Campagne, Chef Paul Virant of Vie Restaurant, Chef Mathias Merges of Charlie Trotter’s, as well as a keynote speech from Chef Rick Bayless. You can download a pdf of the whole invitation here.
