Keighty Alvarez

Keighty Alvarez loves food, loves to eat and loves to share her food with everyone. She believes that talk about world peace can never be possible until everyone is full. Keighty moved to Chicago from Southern California to go to culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu. Since then she has been cooking for her friends and her husband and always jumps at the chance to try something new. She is passionate about teaching home cooking as an accessible activity for everyone –not just chefs - and she collects her recipes on her blog, My Life In Food (http://mylifeinfood-keighty.blogspot.com/). She loves to grow her own vegetables, bake her own bread and make her own ice cream, granola and of course, cheese. She adores cheese making and wants to teach everyone about the wonders of cheese making and the endless deliciousness of local cheeses.
