The Local Beet: Contributors

Deborah Fellinger

Hailing from Boulder, Colorado, Deborah Fellinger grew up eating a good wholesome diet that included lots of broccoli and Spaghetti-Os. After moving to Chicago to study journalism at Columbia College and a year-long stint working in a bakery (and a collegiate diet of microwave popcorn and ramen with an egg cracked in), she became utterly fascinated with food—its origins, history, preparation and consumption. She lives in a small box in Edgewater and loves pears.
