The Local Calendar 10/11/13 Food Truck Rally at Daley Plaza, Wild Plants Gathering, Only a Few Weeks Left for Outdoor Markets
We are surrounded at the markets by the colors of fall, oranges, reds, browns with a few pockets of green as vegetables like brussel sprouts are harvested. The outdoor markets will be ending soon so take advantage and shop while you still can. Food Trucks are rallying at Daley Plaza today, you can forage with an expert tomorrow, Michael Swiertz as part of the Rooting Chicago weekend. Food Day Chicago is 2 weeks away.Oct. 24) Earth Day was first created in 1970, and is now recognized and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year. Food Day is in its infancy, so help it grow! ”Like” the Food Day CHI facebook page and put the Food Day Eat Real event at Daley Plaza on your calendar for Oct. 24th! There will be lots going on like raw food and indian cooking demonstrations. Learn how to cast a fly rod and shop at the Daley Plaza market while you are there!

Chicago – Food Trucks Rally at Daley Plaza – 11am – 8pm The City of Chicago Food Truck Rally will present both lunchtime and after work dining options as well as a designated area for beer and wine to be purchased. Presented by the City of Chicago, Goose Island Beer Company and Illinois Lottery. plus live music and DJs providing entertainment – including Mike & Lisa, 11:30am–1:30pm and DJ Lisa René, 5–7:30pm.
