Congratulations to Melissa Graham, founder and self-described “head spear” of Purple Asparagus, on receiving the International Association of Culinary Professionals’ 2012 Youth Advocate of the Year award! Melissa and Purple Asparagus work hard to make good food available to all by educating children, families, and the community about eating well. Through Purple Asparagus, Melissa brings delicious, nutritious, hands-on adventures to schools, community organizations, and farmer’s markets throughout Chicagoland.
