I know a good thing when I see it. And long before the pages of the Local Beet, I was lauding my friend Orianna Kruszewski, who my kids dubbed the Papple Lady, for her awesome Asian pears or “papples”. The Papple Lady not only delivers tasty food to Chicago farmer’s markets, she shares her knowledge of creating great food. She is leading a class on March 24 on fruit tree grafting for Slow Food Chicago.
