Really, we just learned of this.  One of our favorite organizations, Chicago’s Resource Center, is holding a Spring benefit tomorrow, Thursday, May 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Reed Smith, 10 South Wacker Dr., Ste. 4000.  Come to mingle with other green-minded individuals and learn about the Resource Center’s programs. The evening will include a silent auction. Hors d’oeuvres, beer & wine will be served.  Additional information and how to get tickets can be found here.

The Resource Center is Chicago’s largest not-for-profit recycler and has been a pioneer in the local urban agricultural movement.  Especially apt of late, they have been the town crier on the proposed new zoning requirements for urban agriculture in Chicago.  Not everyone may agree with their assessment of the zoning situation, but we think the Resource Center has played a strong role in getting people to examine the issue.  If you have a chance, Thursday, this is a great organization to help.
