As we noted yesterday, several farmer’s markets are a-goin’ in the Chicago area, including the outdoor launch of the Woodstock Farmer’s Market on Tuesday.  Today, Wednesday, Green City Market goes outside for the first time in 2011.  Another of our favorite markets, Evanston, commences this weekend.  We want to hear what you are doing at these markets.  What do you see.  What are you buying.  Any changes you notice.  Please share your early season market experiences.

it may be chilly this morning, but the sun is a shining on Green City. All that rain has made for some colossal greens. Spinach leaves bigger than your head!

I wanted to report that the inaugural Harvard farmers’ market Saturday was wonderful. Good variety of booths: Honey, Llama “bullets” (aka poop), handmade soap, salad greens, annuals, and even native perennials. Not to mention the homemade baked goods from Friends Country Market! Hope to see it grow!
