Showcase Improv and Fine Foods, Both Locally Produced

 Our friends at Evanston’s Talking Farm are holding their annual benefit on Sunday, October 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Evanston, IL.  The event, entitled“Laughter in the Garden” will showcase some of the gifts our region has to offer. The Piven Theater’s Teen Touring Company, Roxy Bellows, and the Joel Spencer Duo, will perform. Guests will also have a chance to sample appetizers provisioned by local growers at Faith’s Farm, Henry’s Farm, Irv and Shelly’s Fresh Picks, Nichol’s Farm and Testa Produce. Wines from Lynfred Winery, Illinois’ oldest and largest bonded winery, will also be offered, as well as a cash bar.

The Hilton Garden Inn is located at 1818 Maple Avenue in downtown Evanston. Tickets for the benefit may be purchased online at www.thetalkingfarm.org.
