Expand your days for farmers markets

It’s good with Green City to think of farmers markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. But don’t forget the supplemental markets during the week. For example, the Lincoln Square Farmers Market and the Museum of Contemporary Art/Streeterville Farmers Market both start tomorrow.

Especially if you are vastly unemployed, you can resort to a lot more cooking, involving fresh locally grown food. And you may need to gather that on a daily basis. Or you forget an item at the Green City Market on Saturday and you can’t wait until Wednesday to get more.

There are countless markets spread throughout the city. They won’t be as large as Green City, but they just might have what you need. And often, the same vendors you see at Green City are available a little closer to home.

will your market locator map be working again soon? it never displays any upcoming or current markets.

The link in the story lists the markets and on what days they are. Hope that helps.
