A Preview of the Farm Dinner
Last evening, I cooked a small Locavore dinner for two of my best clients, which had some items from the Farm Dinner Menu. Usually, I don’t have a chance to take many photos at my events – too often we’re cooking somewhere odd, like an elevator shaft or a hallway, certainly no where with heat lamps! But my very good clients have a very good stove so I was able to snap a few photos; though not of the dessert – peach ice cream sandwiches. The heat didn’t help those much.
Zucchini Fries with Red Pepper Sauce (Catsup actually)
The rest of the menu for those of you who are interested was as follows:
Skewers of Nectarine, Mozzarella, Prosciutto & Basil
Tomato, Plum, Mint & Feta Salad with White Wine Vinaigrette and Pink Sea Salt
Thinly Sliced Sirloin on Baked Polenta and Italian Chard with Smoky Roth Kase Blue Cheese Sauce
Peach Ice Cream Sandwiched Between Brown Sugar Wafers with Fresh Peach Slices
Avondale, Angel Food & Piper’s Pyramid with Nicole’s For the Herb Crackers and Brunkow’s Ciabatta
The only items that returned on dirty plates were one polenta triangle and 1 brown sugar wafer on the carb-watcher’s plate. She tried 1 of each.
