See My Local Spring Dinner
My last bunch of ramps from Irv & Shelly, a pound of Mint Creek ground lamb, Traders Point yogurt, Klug Farms asparagus, green garlic (from GCM, farm unknown) and River Valley morels all add up to a great spring dinner:
Part of my new year’s resolution this year was to source more of my meat locally. We’ve been buying a fair amount of Mint Creek lamb and it has certainly spoiled me for the lamb you can find at supermarkets. It has a bold, flavor that is unmistakeably lamb. Besides a little egg and bread crumb, all I added to these patties were a pinch of cumin and a pinch of cinnamon.
